Lifestyle; Pink Parcel collab πŸŽ€

Thankyou so much to pink parcel for gifting me this fabulous box! Who are/what is pink parcel you ask? It’s a subscription box company who are trying to banish any taboos based around your period & help to teach people about periods in an honest way. The box includes products to get you through that dreaded time of the month. Unlike some other subscription boxes, you can cancel anytime too. I have to say, I found this box an absolute life changer this month.

Interested? Have a look on their website & choose which box suits you. They range from Β£5 a month to Β£11 a month. So for Β£5 you will get your ‘needs‘ which are your sanitary products, for Β£8 you get the ‘wants‘ so your treats that you would usually want when you’re on your period & finally for Β£11 you get both ☺️

IN MY PARCEL

I received 4 sections in this box. The for now, for you, for night & for later. Honestly set out beautifully & spot on! I love the little bag that the now section came in. Definitely will be reusing that 😍

For now was a mixture of sanitary towels, some smaller than others. I used these this month when I had my period & honestly was pleasantly surprised. I was a little dubious as I always tend to buy the same brand of sanitary towels. But these were actually really good!

For you was filled with goodies that you want when it’s that time of the month. All the things you crave & the things your skin needs at this point. It was filled with some really good brands, some that I use regularly too.

The section for night was more sanitary towels that were slightly more ‘heavy duty’ πŸ˜‚ you know? A bit bigger for bedtime basically. And the for later section, was just more sanitary towels to get you through your period.

They do have boxes with tampons in too & some that do a mixture of both! I would highly recommend this subscription box. In my opinion most people would spend the same amount each time they have their period on all of these things.

Have you ever heard of this brand? Would you use it?

Lifestyle; I completed dry January!! πŸ”žβŒπŸΎ

Can you honestly believe this… It’s very surprising I know πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

I usually drink every weekend. I don’t binge, I don’t go out & get ‘wasted’ I am waaaay too old for that, but I do like a bottle of wine or a few gins at the weekend.

Sam actually failed… He failed the first weekend as he had a pint at the pub after football πŸ˜‚ he tried very hard to make me fail too ‘nobody will ever know caitlin’ πŸ™ˆ well… I didn’t cave!!

*I allowed myself one glass of prosecco on a family birthday, but to make up for that it’s now February 1st & I’m not having any alcohol*

So how did I do it? Plenty of water/squash, copious amounts of cups of tea & mugs of hot chocolate. Plus I did eat a lot of chocolate & biscuits in replacement… But I am proud of myself. It shouldn’t be a big thing but honestly I’m a happy girl that I achieved it. I also managed to lose the 4lbs I put on over Christmas/new year & an extra 1lb! WOOHOO!

I am going to try to have February without treats now. This means no cake, chocolate or biscuits. Did anyone else do dry January or veganuary?

Easter 2018; how I spent my 5 days off πŸ°πŸ£

I really tried to make the most of my 5 days off… Technically you could say it was 6 as I finished at 1pm on the Wednesday & didn’t go back until 1pm on Tuesday πŸ’πŸ½ yes I was super lucky this year!

THURSDAY; was spent completely on me… I did my washing as I usually do on a Thursday, had a bath & face mask, blogged, watched films & completely chilled out. The sun was shining so my washing day was even better  I am such an old woman!

FRIDAY; I went to the gym first, then I went to get my hair done… I haven’t had it done since before I went on holiday in November!! So this was a lovely treat. It needed a little trim as the ends were going a bit dead. So no colour this time!  Jenna does a fabulous job on my hair, always! I then went home & unpacked my George order which was full of goodies for our dining room/conservatory 😍 later that afternoon I had a good catch up with Colleen & her two little angels. Reilly (her eldest) invited me over for pizza & to watch dancing on ice πŸ’πŸ½ she’s such a grown up now!

SATURDAY; I had a lovely lay in before getting up to become an estate agent for my mums house! I then met Sam at our bungalow so we could get some painting done! Took numerous pictures of the cats that came round to see us πŸ˜‚ & then we ate his Easter present which was a box full of goodies from skinny bakery! After this we went to watch the boxing at Sam’s friends house & had a Chinese πŸ˜‹ clearly I was into the Chinese more πŸ™„

SUNDAY; Sam got up to play football so I went to the bungalow  to carry on prepping all the wood at the house & met him back home as his grandparents were coming over for a roast! We then both went back to do some painting before going to the cinema with his sister Lucy & her boyfriend! We went to watch blockers… So funny I definitely recommend going to see it!

MONDAY; we got up super early & were at b&q before 7.30 as we didn’t like the colour that we had been painting πŸ™ˆ I have never painted so much in my life πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚ but we also picked some other testers to see what we liked for other rooms! So then after about 8 hours of painting we went back to b&q to go get the other colours. No joke I dreamt about paint that night πŸ˜‚

It’s now Tuesday & I think I’m going to be asleep by 9pm this evening πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ˜ how did you all spend your Easter bank holiday?
