Oh my god I’ve said it a million times now but I honestly had the best night ever! I swear I made the best friends at work. After working there for almost 9 years it was hard to say goodbye to some people 😩
So so grateful for everyone organising me a fab leaving do too.
We went to prezzo. I was told to be a few minutes late too… Which was so worth it. The effort they went to decorating the table & making it look pretty for me 😍 I had a balloon & a massive bouquet of flowers on the table. Not to mention bags of presents & bottles of prosecco.
One of my colleagues bought some wind up animals, put plasters & bandages on them & a little note asking for me to help them… because they’re injured. That might give away a clue as to what my new job is 😜
We were going to go somewhere else after for some drinks but I think I peaked early… 🙄 haha! My food was delicious, as always! And we made our way through plenty of prosecco & cocktails. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in a long time. Thankyou to everyone again for all chipping in & paying for me as well.
Now this is my favourite photo of the evening. The three musketeers. Loved working with these girls. Genuine friends too 😬😀
Thanks again everyone at Southgates & the Woottons 💞
Oh my goodness, I’m 27… Bloody hell. I am starting to feel it though now.
So my little man really spoilt me. He got me sooo much… I mean who would have thought a kitten could afford & know how to order all this stuff 🙄😂
Sam made me breakfast & we went off to the coast as it was a glorious day. We had a good walk & went round the amusements. I totally beat him at bowling too 💁🏽 we got some yummy doughnuts & treats & a hot chocolate too.
I then finished off my cake & if I say so myself, for a first try I think I did pretty well. Right?! 🍰 I got the topper & the candles from Amazon incase anyone wants to know.
Going back to the gifts I got. I was well & truly spoiled rotten. So many bath bombs, candles & smelly’s! Exactly what I wanted. Plus a fair few bottles of drink, including some yummy unicorn gin which didn’t even last 5 days 😂 I had a lovely bunch of flowers & some new lunch boxes as well. Sam also got me some nice adidas trainers.
My mum & nephew then came round for a Chinese for tea.. And to taste the cake I made.Which, might I add, went down very well 💁🏽 Sam’s mum & dad then joined us for a drink too.
Thanks to everyone who made my day special 🎁🎂
This weekend we celebrated our 3 year anniversary. I mean 3 years…how?! How has the time gone that fast? 🙈 I still remember our first few dates like they were yesterday!
We went out for dinner at one of my favourite restaurants, Market Bistro. It’s actually closing next week, which I am so gutted about so it was definitely a no brainer for where we were going to go for dinner. We had two courses, plus a little tasting dish to start & obviously I had some prosecco 🍾
I love this restaurants sourdough bread…. Literally drooling just thinking about it. All homemade too. I can’t even explain to you how good this food is. So much flavour & so much thought goes into the presentation. Look at my panna cotta 😍
I cooked for Sam & we had a lovely chilled evening in on the Saturday. We watched a film on Netflix & enjoyed some treats 🙄 probably too much, but oh well 💁🏽 if you haven’t watched it, we watched look away. Was actually quite good!
Look at my stunning flowers that Sam had delivered for me!! The florist is actually one of Sam’s friends & honestly she knows me so well. She gets my flowers spot on every time! They’re from Lily Jayne Florist. I bought Sam some cute date night idea cards from not on the high street & Lindt chocolates, which I hope he will share 😂
Thanks for another fabulous year Sam! Here’s to many more 💞
A bit of a different one here. I’ve decided I am not going to give up chocolate or sugar etc.. you know the usual things. I have decided I am going to give up 5lbs. Yes 5lbs in weight, not money.
I am really trying to meet my goal weight target & I thought what a brilliant way to try to motivate myself! In January I gave up alcohol for dry January & managed to lose 5lbs so easily… I clearly love a glass of gin 🙄🙈 but now I am back on the alcohol & trying to budge the remaining 5lbs.
So far I have decided to up my exercise routine. I’m now going to the gym first thing in the morning before work. The days I don’t have to get up early for work (or even go to work) I will be aiming for 10 000 steps!
If anyone knows of any yummy snacks or ideas on making them then please let me know! Food is my downside 😩 I just love eating!
What are you giving up? Or is it not for you?
We’re not huge valentines people but we still like to just show we do love & appreciate each other! We didn’t do presents last year as we had just got the keys to the house. So we actually decided to be soppy this year 😍
Sam wasn’t here for Valentine’s Day this year, he had gone skiing with his dad, so we celebrated on the Friday. I didn’t want to go out this year as we now live together & it’s our first Valentine’s in our home so I wanted to make the most of that.
Sam got me some flowers delivered on Valentine’s Day… He is a good’un! He also ordered me some bath bombs from bomb cosmetics which came in the week too & I enjoyed those 🛁 he knows me so well. I bought Sam a cute photo book from free prints & a belt from Levi’s.
I cooked us a yummy meal & decorated the house a little bit too. Sam had steak & I had fish. Then we enjoyed some brownies & cookies that I had baked the day before.
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day?
I cannot believe it’s done already… Completely flies by. We have all that hype & then that’s it, no more 😩 I had such a lovely Christmas I don’t want it to end so quickly. I hope you all had a lovely one too.
We were both so excited & happy to wake up together in our first home. I did ask Sam what the best part of Christmas was for him & he said that was his favourite part! 😍 I’m excited to start making our own traditions!
I set up some little blankets for us in the conservatory & put the heater on so it was nice & cosy for opening our presents. Sam was cooking our breakfast & I made our drinks. We had scrambled eggs & salmon… Mmmm!! 👌🏽 we also had some Buck’s Fizz too!
I then had a loooovely hot bath whilst Sam tidied up. We got ourselves ready then went to visit Sam’s family for the day. We ate, drank & played silly games. So we were super happy & merry! I then got a little too merry & fell asleep 😂
On Boxing Day we went to my family & had another meal 😜 lucky burgers aren’t we?! We then helped my nephews build some of their toys & played some games with them.
In the evening on Boxing Day we played friends monopoly (Sam bought it for me for Christmas) & had some yummy nibbles & drinks!
We both had such a lovely Christmas! What did you get up to?
Every year Sam’s Christmas party is always such a good laugh. The food is always tasty & there is always plenty of wine! 🍷
I wanted to show you what I wore but I had a hissy fit before we left so I didn’t take a full photo, but I’m sure you can get the gist with the photos anyway. I had the lovely roxy do my makeup again. She does such a good job, so you can see what she did, just in the wrong clothes 🙄
I ate pretty much all of my meal, that’s usually always so hard as Sam is always eye balling my food ready for me to say I’m full 😂😂 but I did leave him a bit of my dessert. I had chicken balls for my starter, turkey (obviously) for my main & aero cheesecake for dessert. That cheesecake was sooo good, but just way too big for me.
I think I had about 4/5 gins & 2 glasses of rosé… I felt fine until about 2pm today 🙈
We also had a few games to play during the evening. Me & Sam were pretty rubbish at it, so obviously we didn’t win.
Have you had your Christmas party yet?
I bloody love a Christmas party & I was so excited for ours this year! We went to a loooovely place called the goldings, which is owned by the loveliest couple. I have been a few times before & thought I’d suggest it for our do 💁🏽
I think the hardest part about the event was finding something to wear 😂 I bought an outfit & was so set on wearing it but it was raining so thought lovely light pink trousers wouldn’t be wise 🙈 so this is what I ended up wearing… Everything is pretty much from pretty little thing 😍 also had my makeup done by roxy, she’s bloody amazing!
So.. To eat, I had prawn cocktail, Christmas dinner & chocolate mousse. It was £25 for 3 courses, which I think is pretty good & such good value for money! I also had 2 glasses of prosecco as well.. 🙄🍾 It is Christmas after all 🙈
We had a fab night & because there are so many receptionists we don’t all get to work together, so it was lovely to chat to the people we don’t work with as much too ☺️ I hope everyone enjoyed their evening as much as I did.
Have you had your Christmas party?
Can you actually believe that I got invited to a blogger event.. I mean actually. I feel like I’ve completed life now.
We had a fabulous evening at Bills, Norwich. It has recently been revamped & it looks stunning! The staff were fantastic from the second we walked through the door. Drinks on arrival was a lovely added touch too.
I already knew one girl quite well from when we were younger so I drove to hers & got ready with her, we had some prosecco too; of course. Robyn let me stay over which was so kind, so I could have a few drinks throughout the evening.
I had two courses, but could have had three. We had some lovely bread & hummus (houmous? I have no clue which way you spell it) to start with. I then had chicken, cranberry & pancetta terrine for my starter. It was so tasty, so much flavour. Followed by pancetta wrapped turkey breast. It was delicious, stuffing, pigs in blankets & lots of veggies, including sprouts which I looove. Yes, I am weird 😂
So there were 10 of us around this beautifully decorated table! All the girls were so lovely ☺️ we went around the table & introduced ourselves to everyone, so I’ll tell you who was there… Justine, Chana, Amy, Jade, Alannah, Sam, Robyn, Holly, myself & Amy. I’ve linked their instagrams so feel free to have a stalk 💁🏽
Big big thankyou to Bills for the lovely meal, drinks & gifts! It was so kind of you to invite us & I will definitely be returning soon. Another thankyou to Charles for arranging it & making sure we were all happy. Have you ever been to bills?
