What made you decide to start blogging? 

I decided to start blogging when I was 16 as a place to vent my emotions but quickly realised I just enjoyed writing and began to do reviews, looks and other posts!

Do you having a blogging niche? Or do you just write about whatever you enjoy? 

I don’t really have a blogging niche! I write about what I like but over all I usually say I’m a lifestyle blogger – I post about fashion, travel, beauty, photography and Mental Health! I just write what comes to me, then I try let it fit into my blog!

Who would you say are your blogging inspirations? 

I have so many! It all started with Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter like many other girls my age, but now I love β€œblog about a latte”, Safe Haven Anonyous Letters, Vix Meldrew and so many more!!!! Can I just give you my twitter following list?

How long have you been blogging? 

I’ve been blogging on and off since I was 16 but I made Pink Aesthetic on my current WordPress page back in March. It’s not perfect but it’s getting there!

What is your favourite social media platform for sharing your blog?

My favourite platform is definitely Twitter. I used to love Instagram but I find it hard to grow and the engagement isn’t as good as Twitter. Plus Twitter is like one big group chat!


Any tips for new bloggers? 

Write about what you love. The rest will come. I tried to fit in to what other bloggers were doing, tried to keep up with how fast they were getting sponsored posts/paid work and in the end it took the fun from blogging! I was taking collabs with things that didn’t fit with my blog and it made me feel rubbish about promoting my place online. So I gave it up and started afresh after some time away. It’s now just a place for me, if more comes from it then great and if not, that’s okay too. So basically, as my friends say when I’m about to make another *cough* bad drunk decision: you do you babe!

I looove the way you’ve described Twitter as a group chat! That is brilliant! 😍 great tips for newbies, thanks for sharing lovely.

Lifestyle; Landys Chemist πŸ’Š

I was recently gifted some curcumin tablets (turmeric based) from Landys Chemist. I am not one to usually take a lot of tablets or supplements but I thought these would actually help me! I think you must know already if you’ve followed me for a while that I suffer from fibromyalgia so I get quite tired muscles & joints. So let’s give these a go! 


After I had been taking them for 10 days I already started to notice a difference. I am not somebody who suffers too much with my fibromyalgia in the summer months but I do also like to go to the gym & keep fit. That means I am definitely pushing my body beyond its boundaries! 

I took these supplements to help me be able to carry on working out. They helped. I honestly believe they helped. I managed to start going to spin classes again, which has always been my favourite way to get my cardio fix in. As long as still doing my weight workouts too.

Lifestyle; skinny bakery review πŸͺ🐰

I bought Sam an Easter egg, but ate it within like 5 minutes… Sort of felt guilty, but sort of didn’t. So instead I ordered us some naughty, but not naughty goodies to snack on! 

If you haven’t tried anything from skinny bakery, then you MUST! I literally got so many things. Super tasty & not at all expensive either!! I paid Β£18.96 for all of these yummy treats. I had to order something that only Sam would eat though, if not it would just be something else for me to eat πŸ™„πŸ˜‚ 


WHAT I ORDERED; chocolate pearls, coconut bites, peanut butter, chocolate orange cookies, & some Easter bunny biscuits (which were discounted at the checkout) BUT they also sent me a freebie pack of cherry bakewell cookies. 

THE VERDICT; Sam loved the peanut butter ones, I want to add he demolished them in about 2 minutes… πŸ˜‚ I ate the cherry bakewell cookies, absolutely amazing! Could not put them down πŸ™ˆ I wasn’t too keen on the coconut bites, but Sam loved them so he had those! The chocolate pearls we shared, but yknow I could have eaten them all happily! πŸ’πŸ½ I gave the bunny biscuits away as they were super easter’y 🐰 but the chocolate orange cookies were to die for! Lifestyle; living with fibromyalgia πŸ’ŠπŸ’‰

This seems to be the perfect time to finally share this with everyone. Thanks Colleen for giving me the kick to do it!!

I have suffered with fibromyalgia since around 2012/2013 (it’s hard to know exactly as diagnosis isn’t easy). Something some of you might have heard of, but others you probably have no clue about it. So I’ll explain to you a bit about it first.. It is a long term condition that causes pain all over the body. As well as this pain some sufferers also have; increased sensitivity to pain, fatigue, muscle stiffness, difficulty sleeping, problems with mental processes (fibro-fog), headaches & IBS. The cause of fibromyalgia isn’t known, but it is thought it can be brought on by a physically or emotionally stressful event or it can be in your genes.

That was quite a lot to take in, I appreciate that, but out of those I suffer with almost all of them. The sensitivity to pain, my most hated one… So if I itch my arm it like really hurts, like someone has just punched me really hard 😩 fatigue is an obvious one… If you know me personally you will know about this one. I used to work 3 jobs at once, even when I cut it down to just the 1 I was working 40 hour weeks & developing this meant I had no choice but to cut down to part time hours… How am I ever going to afford anything?! It so hard & I don’t get any help. I have to hope that I can get through a few hours overtime a week. But if I’m having a bad time, I physically cannot do it. 

I do go to the gym, yes. But where you all looove your leg days, this is my hardest one. My legs feel like they’re on fire after doing 2 squats, that is no exaggeration. So if I don’t have much on that week I can push myself a little harder. But if I make it to he gym 2 times a week it’s amazing for me! Plus the restless legs at night is horrendous… Did I just kick Sam in his sleep or did I twitch? πŸ™„πŸ˜‚


I really hope you’re starting to get a little bit of a vibe of how I feel?! 

I work half days & I nap in the afternoon on the day that I work in the morning! That was a weird sentence, but I think it made sense?! πŸ˜‚ all of the other days I work in the afternoon so I can relax before work.

As for the fibro-fog it’s one of hardest things when you’re at work.. I do tend to say to a lot of people ‘I can’t spit my words out today, sorry’ now you’ll know if you’re talking to me on the phone πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ 

I can have a flare up at ANY time, but right now I am on the verge. I am emotionally drained with my dog dying, sorting out our first home, working overtime to try to pay for this… I am struggling! 

People find it so hard to believe as I ‘look okay’. Well, next time you think that honestly please really look at me… I have bags under my eyes, I have tired looking eyes, I’m not as cheery, I’m grumpy (it’s bad enough being a bloody girl with hormones) I’m snappy, I’ve got bad skin etc etc. I am NOT lazy, I am just not as well as other people.

 I don’t treat it with medication, I have tried all of that but I thought instead I would change my lifestyle, which I told you about above. I chose that. I tried support groups etc, but even that wore me out πŸ™ˆ I hope this has helped & if anyone wants to ask me anything please feel free to!

Lifestyle; thinking of booking your smear test? πŸ“†πŸ“žπŸŽ—

This post will be a little too much for some people so I apologise now! πŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆ

I recently had my first ever smear test last year & I too was absolutely crapping myself to go. To all of those out there who are nervous, please don’t be. Between the ages of 25-49 you need to have a test every 3 years… 3 years is a very long gap! 50-64 is every 5 years… So ladies it’s not like you need to have them often. Like I say, I completely understand. But it’s so necessary to have it.


A lot of younger ladies are probably thinking, what if I forget to shave my legs? I need to bath/shower first etc… It’s okay to think that. I did!!

So if you didn’t already know I work as a GP receptionist… I promise you, the receptionist isn’t judging you, the nurse isn’t judging you & we talk to people like you & see people like you all the time! Sometimes the nurses even do back to back smears where I work. It’s normal. Trust me! ☺️  

A few little tips for you if you are nervous! *in no way am I saying these work for everybody or that this is what you think etc, just friendly advice

1. You must try to book mid cycle.. & if you do start your period when your smear test is booked then just give them a call & try to book for a week & a half later’ish πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

2. Book for a good time for you. I had mine first thing in the morning as then I didn’t have ages to worry about it for so long ☺️ if you want you can book for after work so you can have a shower first etc, whatever makes it better for you! 

3. Don’t be embarrassed. I know that’s easier said than done. But like I’ve said before, the nurses are always lovely & they do this day in, day out. So don’t worry! 

4. Talk to the nurse about her day or something so it takes your mind off it a little bit & make sure you’re comfy before she does the test πŸ’πŸ½ if the speculum she is using doesn’t feel right, see if there is a smaller one! Don’t be scared to ask.

5. It takes about a minute & of course it’s not going to be the most enjoyable thing.. But it’s a very necessary thing to do! Remember why you’re having it done!

Lifestyle; update before holiday πŸ‘™πŸ’ͺ🏽

We’re off on our holibobs tomorrow so I thought I would share with you how well I have done since my last update in September! Be warned, half naked body posts here… soz guys! 


The past 2 weeks I had decided to lower my carb intake so I could get rid of the awful bloating… I definitely didn’t cut them out altogether but I was watching how much I was eating. It’s little things like bread with soup on a lunch break. You don’t need it, you’ve got plenty to eat. So I swapped it for an apple or banana to have after my soup 🍎 I also cut out cake… Too much around me at work πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ 

I also really focused on my fluids… Again I still struggle with this but I feel like I’m really getting there now! I find it better to drink out of a bottle so I can keep track on how much I have had. 


I’ve also recently been noticing how well I have progressed with some weights. I used to only be able to manage about 20-40kg on the hip abductor & adductor machines, but I have now managed to do between 60-75kg! If that’s not progress I don’t know what is πŸ’ͺ🏽

When I started this a year ago I didn’t think I would actually be able to get people to read my posts, nor did I think I would stick at it. But I can honestly say I love blogging. 

At school I used to pride myself in my spelling & grammar. It’s one thing that I feel I am actually pretty good at. I enjoy writing & ‘creative writing’ πŸ“ was always my favourite. Who doesn’t love creating an exciting story in your head & then writing it down. I also really love lists… I swear I have a life too πŸ™„ 

Eeee look at my cake from baker days! I love it, Thankyou soooo much. It looked beautiful & had the most perfect sponge everrrr πŸ˜‹πŸ°


Here is a little insight into how long it can take to grow your blog. It doesn’t happen overnight & it takes a lot of commitment. But if you love what you do, you’ll get there & you’ll enjoy doing it.

Bodyfit blog; Sweaty Betty vouchers

So recently I shared a blog post that I had written to do with fitness. I was then approached  by a fab lady who I work alongside for bodyfit. She asked me if I’d like to write a blog post for them… I was super excited for this as I said I was already starting one! 

I was gifted two Β£10 gift vouchers for either sweatybetty or whole foods. I chose sweaty Betty as I was wanting to try some new gym clothes. The postage from them was super fast! It was also very well packaged. I couldn’t wait to get browsing & I think I literally ordered some leggings the next day! πŸ’ͺ🏽


The postage again was super quick, I had an email on the Friday saying they would be delivered that day, which I think was only 2 days later!  There was a small issue of the parcel getting lost, but the customer service team were excellent & I received the parcel the following week. 

So.. the leggings!! Soooo pretty! I thought I would choose something slightly different! I always get the same colours so I got some nice blue cropped ones. They fit beautifully. They have a mesh at the front of the thigh too, so they’re ‘breathable’ but because I went for cropped I think I’ll be saving these for warmer days now πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

What I eat in a week; almost everything β˜•οΈπŸŒ

A lot of people had been asking for this post. These are just a few of the meals that I have in a week! I am in no way saying this is what others should be eating by the way, far from it, but it’s some ideas for you ☺️ 


Breakfast: most important meal of the day

I used to skip this quite a lot πŸ™ˆ now I wonder how I managed to function when I did. I’m always hungry… so I love oats, granola, yoghurt, fruits etc. These are usually what I have during the week. At the weekend I would either have this again or protein pancakes which I personally think are delicious. So I would either have granola with natural yoghurt, fresh or frozen fruit (banana, raspberries, strawberries) with a drizzle of honey & topped with chia seeds. Overnight oats are another fav of mine, plain porridge oats, milk & frozen fruit. Pop it in the fridge overnight so they soak & voila, perfecto πŸ’πŸ½ If you’re opting for the pancake route I use women’s best unflavoured pancake mix, I add a scoop of banana whey powder too & sometimes even chocolate as well πŸ™„ for the topping, depends on what I’m fancying but, chocolate protein creme (not quite Nutella, sometimes I swap) a banana, some strawberries & raspberries, a squeeze of honey & some chia seeds. It’s so tasty, trust me. 


Lunch: whether you’re at work or not

A tasty salad. When I say salad it is jam packed; lettuce, spinach, boiled egg, tuna, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, bacon, chicken etc. So so yummy & full of goodies. Sweet potato jacket potato, with tuna or whatever your fav topping is. Sometimes I switch it up & have my protein pancakes at lunch too. Or I really enjoy making homemade soups, they’re so much more tasty than bought ones. Tomato & red pepper is my ultimate fav πŸ…

Dinner: this is when it gets hard

So usually I have proper meals, like spag bol, or a curry etc. All I have done different here is cut out the naan bread or garlic bread as you don’t NEED it. Another fav thing to have is fish with roasted peppers, courgettes etc. Soooo yummy. Or with a salad works just as well. Don’t get me wrong I love fajitas & other meals too πŸ˜‹

         
I try, see the word try, to drink as much as I possibly can πŸ™„ I know I don’t drink as much as I should which is something I need to work on, but I have definitely upped this a lot. I also used to drink a lot of tea, I’ve really cut this down & I no longer have any sugar in my tea as well πŸ’πŸ½  that’s a big thing for me πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Any other meal ideas would be greatly appreciated as you can never have to many food ideas up your sleeve πŸ˜‹
