Fashion; valentines date night outfits πŸ‘ β€οΈ

This post will have some outfit ideas for whether it’s valentines or galentines πŸ’πŸ½ … If male friends go out together is it called ladentines or palentines? πŸ˜‚

Firstly this is my favourite red dress! It fits so nicely, it’s comfy & it’s long sleeved so keeps you warm too (seeing as it’s still winter) it’s from prettylittlething. I bought it about two months ago though & I can’t find the link for it πŸ™ˆ sorryyy!! I’d pair it with a black bag πŸ’πŸ½

Now this is what I would wear for ‘galentines’ – I absolutely love these trousers! They feel like pjs, but look the part πŸ’πŸ½πŸ˜‚ I think putting them with a glam top makes it more of a going out sort of outfit. I didn’t know which bag I would choose.. Possibly the glittery one as the other one is quite summery. The trousers are from boohoo & the top is from prettylittlething. The silver clutch is also prettylittlething. The floral bag is years old, sorry again! But I love it 😍

Lastly, another red dress. This time it’s ruched so it’s not so tight around the tummy. Which is perfect if you’re going out for a meal πŸ™„ well for me anyway πŸ˜‚ it’s more of a pale red too. Again it’s from prettylittlething & this time I do have the link for you!

Or.. If you’re doing what I’m doing & staying in I would suggest a massive fluffy jumper or your pjs πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Sam’s a lucky man isn’t he?!

Hope this gave you some inspiration! What are you doing this year?

Fashion; leopard print-tastic πŸ‘

So we all know by now that leopard print has swooped back into the fashion industry like it never left! I personally have loved it since I could remember… *digs out old photos*

It’s safe to say you either love it or hate it. I definitely love it! A bit like marmite πŸ’πŸ½πŸ˜‚ so of course I took to social media to see what you all thought!

If you’re part of the 23% who hate leopard print then I’m baffled why you’re still reading, haha but honestly I’m about to show you some of my newest bits πŸ’πŸ½ I don’t blame you if you stop now.

Both of the above are from new look! Are you a lover or a hater?

Blogging; Meet Roxanne πŸŽ€

Roxanne is so lovely, a complete fashion & beauty guru. Her Twitter is full of motivational tweets! And we’re always talking about our pretty little thing hauls πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

What made you decide to start blogging?

After being in the beauty industry for around ten years, I really wanted to start sharing my knowledge and experience with beauty. My aim has always been to help others with their beauty know-how. My blog is a place for people who love to learn new things and/or need a little guidance and I am keen to reach out to others that share my passion for beauty

Do you having a blogging niche? Or do you just write about whatever you enjoy?

My blog is mainly centred around beauty. Makeup, skincare, nails and hair being my main topics. But I occasionally like to blog about lifestyle stuff as well. This gives my readers a chance to get to me know better and really share my journey.

Who would you say are your blogging inspirations?

My biggest blog inspiration would be β€˜In The Frow’. I read her blog way before I even thought about starting mine. The things she has achieved are so inspiring and I love her drive. She motivates me everyday to be better!

How long have you been blogging?

I have only been blogging for 10 months. My blogs birthday is at the end of January, how exciting! I was doing other social media bits for quite a while before my blog launched.

What is your favourite social media platform for sharing your blog?

Although I have a love/hate relationship with it, I have to say Instagram. I really enjoy creating content and sharing it on there (even if Instagram doesn’t show it to anyone haha!)

Any tips for new bloggers?

Be yourself! Stand out from the crowd. Try not to compare yourself to others because that will just dishearten you. Instead use them as your inspiration and future goals. Learn from your mistakes and failures and don’t forget to enjoy it!

Thanks for the great tips! I didn’t realise you hadn’t been blogging for very long! You’re a natural πŸ’πŸ½  the nails I see you create are beautiful by the way too

Blogging; A few tips for beginners πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ“

So by no means am I the best blogger, or the most successful but I do have a few tips for some beginners. I wish I had known a few of these when I first started myself.

First tip; Make friends πŸ‘

I honestly wish I had chatted to people earlier on & been a little more confident with getting my blog out there. I have made some of the best friends because of my blog. I set up a whatsapp group a few months back full of some lovely blogger girls & just girls who love to chat with us all. They love being supportive & reading my blog, as I do theirs too.

Second tip; be confident πŸ’πŸ½

I think I had my blog hidden from people I knew for the first 6 months, which to me seems silly now. This meant I didn’t really put it on any social media! You need to be confident & love what you are writing. Trust me the blogging community is huge so there will always be someone who loves your blog. Also sharing it on social media has done me the world of good! These are my stats, you can see the growth 😍😍 I started blogging November 2016 & we are now August 2018. I am almost at the same amount of views for what I had the whole of 2017.

Third tip; drafts πŸ“

I swear by making a draft every time a good idea pops into my head! I literally just write a sentence or a few words that will help remind me what it was that I was wanting to write about. This has helped me sooo much, it means I will always have a blog post in mind & don’t need to worry too much about writers block. At the minute I have 29 drafts πŸ˜‚

Fourth tip; do what you love πŸ’ž

There are a lot of different things that happen in the blogging community. Just know that if you don’t want to join in you don’t have to. Join in on the things you love! By this I mean, there tends to be a lot of posts about ‘blogger awards’ which are just like tags, so you answer the questions etc. If you love the idea it can help you grow, but if you don’t love it then just find what you do love? If that makes sense πŸ™ˆ I personally love getting involved in Blogmas!

Fifth tip; photos πŸ“Έ

I find a lot of my blog posts do really well if the photos are enticing. If they don’t grab someone’s attention, then sometimes the post doesn’t do so well. I absolutely love getting the photos for my posts, it’s my favourite part! But honestly my photos used to be pretty terrible, it takes time to get the hang of it all, I mean look at the difference in these…

I hope this was helpful for people ☺️

Bloggermail; hidden fashion πŸ‘—πŸ’πŸ½

This has to be one of the biggest achievements for me! I received an email asking if I would be interested in some goodies from hidden fashion… Me being me, I had a look & thought I bet they either won’t turn up or they will be rubbish quality… I was completely wrong!!

I chose a plain slogan top, as you can literally pair this with almost anything & a denim button front skirt. They look fabulous on together!

The package arrived by courier so had to be signed for, beautifully wrapped & with a cute little note 😍 I feel like I have been completely spoiled here. I checked out their Instagram to be pleasantly surprised by how good the company is! I mean 354k followers, they can’t be too bad can they πŸ™ŠπŸ˜

So Thankyou hidden fashion I love my clothes! Have you ever bought from them?

Mini haul; pretty little thing πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘

So just before Christmas I was looking for an outfit for New Year’s Eve & I bought something from pretty little thing. The outfit I ordered wasn’t what I wanted for that evening.. so I decided to order something else. By this point I realised I should just order their next day delivery for a year… πŸ˜‚ so I did. Now I’ve ended up buying a few different things from them! If you fancy 20% off your order just click here.

These pjs are the cutest! They are so comfy & I love that it is a long sleeve pj top & shorts! The colour is super cute & I love the little phrase on it, I recently bought Sam a birthday card with it on too! Let’s avo cuddle πŸ’πŸ½

I think I have worn this red top twice now already & I really love it!! You can wear it with pretty much anything! I’ve never really bought anything red before so it was a risk, but it was worth it! I love that it ties at the side 😍

Then… Yes there is more! I bought the same top in two colours. Jesus I think I have issues, does anyone else do this? Look how good they are though… You can literally wear them with anything πŸ’πŸ½ I bought it in black & white!

I got this red cropped jumper as sometimes I don’t fancy just wearing a tshirt! I love them because they can be dressed up too, so versatile πŸ™ŠπŸ˜‚ yeah I am just trying to make myself feel better about spending money..

My fav has to be this outfit though, the denim jacket & platform velvet shoes! How cute are they?!

Yeah I went a little nuts, but don’t you think it was worth it? Plus this was across 2 months… So it’s not that bad.. Right?! Don’t forget if you want to save some pennies then click here & you can get yourself 20% off πŸ’πŸ½βœŒπŸ½

Angel party; Thankyou Elle πŸ‘ΌπŸ½πŸ’—

Thankyou so much for the fabulous party Elle, you did amazingly. I decided to take the plunge & go …

I met so many fabulous people that day, it was great to get to know new people  πŸ’πŸ½ shoutout to Nicola who met me at kings cross, such a nice girl! We made our way to Bills beforehand for brunch… When our uber finally found us πŸ˜‚  & it was nice to sit & get to know each other. It was like we had known each other for ages. Yet we really hadn’t even spoken before ✌🏽️

As we arrived we had to queue for about 15 minutes to get in, but it was all done so smoothly! It was held at the Grand Connaught rooms in London, it was so pretty. Perfect for the party! Elle had put on food, sweet stalls, glitter makeup, a dj & videographer. It must have took a lot of planning. The sweets were so yum, I did promise Sam I’d share some… Yeah that didn’t happen! 🍬 sorry babe!

The music was perfect, it really helped to get a good atmosphere going. The lovely lady who was doing the glitter makeup, bless her, she must have been so tired πŸ™ˆ but she kept on smiling. I got to meet some other fabulous YouTube ladies too, but I’m afraid I didn’t take pictures with everyone! It was so good to get to meet so many other lovely girls ☺️ shoutout to those girls who lift others up. Plus the girls who created a group chat so we all had someone to get to know. The group chat is still going strong too πŸ‘―

I had a VIP ticket, so I got a goodie bag! πŸ™Š this was literally jam packed with stuff! I had such a good day, I love chatting with new people. It was nice that everyone was so alike as well, all having similar interests! I cannot wait for the next one ☺️😍

Valentine’s Day; 2018 πŸŒΉβ™₯️

This year Sam & myself decided not to do presents, just cards! So I got him a super me sort of card πŸ’πŸ½ & he got me one that was completely perfect for me… 🐢🐢

We also decided to stay in on Valentine’s Day itself, so I cooked for us! πŸ˜‹ I decided to do a sort of paella. Sam’s a bit of a seafood & fish lover, so I knew I wouldn’t go wrong with this meal! We then went to the gym still, as we always do on a Wednesday πŸ’ͺ🏽  & it was sooo quiet πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

It was Sam’s turn to choose where we went out this year, he originally chose the lifeboat at thornham, but we had an email come through for prezzo & the deal was too good to turn down. Prezzo was where we had our first date (awww…) πŸ’πŸ½πŸ’ž   We had 3 courses & a bottle of prosecco. I should say I had a bottle of prosecco really πŸ™„πŸ˜‚  thought I’d show you my outfit too πŸ™Š

Where did you go or how did you celebrate? If you did ☺️

Mini haul; new look πŸ‘ πŸ‘—

New look recently had the best sale EVERRRR! & I received a fabulous Β£20 gift card for Christmas. Perfect!

Heeled boots; these should have been Β£29.99 & I got them for Β£7.. What a bargain! They have a lace up front (made like it you don’t have to lace it up) with a zip fastening at the back. So comfy, but they did kill my feet when I first put them on… Only the zip at the back, I put plasters on & it solved the issue!

Grey oversized jumper;
I loved this… It’s perfect for casual wear or for a smart/casual outfit! It was Β£5 instead of Β£15.99 I think this was my favourite purchase. I love comfy clothes 😍

Red blouse;
this is so pretty, I need to buy a red vest top to go underneath but I really love this… I paid Β£6 & it was reduced from Β£17.99. Hopefully I can wear this with my new heels πŸ’πŸ½ because it’s completely see through, I’m pleased it was only Β£6. Not worth much more than that if you have to buy something go under it.

Velvet heels; lastly, these should have been Β£25.99, I managed to pay just Β£8 for them! I’ve not had a chance to wear these yet, but how nice are they?! With a nice dress, I’m excited to wear them 😍  I love that they tie round your leg. My feet won’t fall out πŸ˜‚

Did anybody else get any goodies in the new look sale?!

Caitlincx; 1 year old πŸŽ‰πŸ’«

Cannot believe my blog is 1 year old already! Bloooming heck that went fast. Happy Blogiversary to meee πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ

When I started this a year ago I didn’t think I would actually be able to get people to read my posts, nor did I think I would stick at it. But I can honestly say I love blogging.

At school I used to pride myself in my spelling & grammar. It’s one thing that I feel I am actually pretty good at. I enjoy writing & ‘creative writing’ πŸ“ was always my favourite. Who doesn’t love creating an exciting story in your head & then writing it down. I also really love lists… I swear I have a life too πŸ™„

Eeee look at my cake from baker days! I love it, Thankyou soooo much. It looked beautiful & had the most perfect sponge everrrr πŸ˜‹πŸ°

Here is a little insight into how long it can take to grow your blog. It doesn’t happen overnight & it takes a lot of commitment. But if you love what you do, you’ll get there & you’ll enjoy doing it.

I hope all my existing readers & hopefully new readers to come enjoy my posts! But I am always open to feedback or ideas so feel free to comment ☺️ I don’t bite I promise. I’d also love to know what your favourite type of posts are that I write! Engaging with my audience is something I think is important. So hey πŸ‘‹πŸ½  & thank you for supporting me!

Happy 1 year to my blog! Also head over to my Instagram, as I have teamed up with baker days, to do a fabulous giveaway! πŸ°πŸŽ‚
