Lookfantastic: JUNE REVIEW πŸ’–

Wow wow wow.Β This months packaging was something else! So bloody beautiful. Those colours are amazing πŸ’«

This months box had 6 lovely products to try, so lucky! Plus the usual copy of Elle magazine, can’t go wrong there. I love that it’s travel size too, I’m definitely taking this as a holiday read πŸ“š

KΓ©rastase shampoo: so nice! I received a sample size that was to battle hair that was damaged, brittle & had split ends. I found this product to be perfect for me πŸ’†πŸ½ it left my hair looking a lot more healthy as well as feeling it. It really did tackle the ends of my hair to help get rid of the split damaged ends. This size sample lasted for 3 washes with me, which I was pleased withπŸ’– I’ve tried a few other types of shampoos from this brand & I love them all.

Balance me moisturiser:Β I have been using this every morning for the past week. It’s a little bit more of a thinner product than I usually like, but it sinks into the skin really well πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ it also smells amazing! It really leaves your skin glowing & it helps to even skin tone too, so no need to pile makeup on top after you have used it.

Bellapierre shimmer highlighter: loooove a good highlighter so I was really excited to see this in my box. I literally used this the day I got it πŸ™„πŸ™ˆ couldn’t contain myself. The product itself is beautiful, just the right amount of shimmer ✨ the only downside though is its pretty hard to get out of the pot to apply it with a brush. If you like to apply with your fingers then it’s fine. I’m just being picky πŸ™Š

MonuΒ rosewood reviving mist: I have received these mist products before by this brand & they always smell so good. I find that I use these products so much more in the summer, they’re fabΒ for a quick cool down. πŸ’¦ I wouldn’t necessarily buy this but I do love to receive one every now & again πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

HaileyΒ Baldwin model co super lips lipgloss: I loved the shade I received, definitely goes with everything. The application isn’t as smooth as I would like & you do have to apply a fair amount, but once it’s on it’s lovely. It lasts quite a while too πŸ’‹ not a top choice but I like it πŸ’πŸ½

First aid beauty facial radiance pads: now theseΒ were my fav this month. I feel like I’ve actually adapted my skincare regime to add these in already πŸ™ˆ I’ve even used them on the other half too (he’s so lucky) πŸ˜‚ they’re so perfectly formulated so they don’t harm even the most sensitive of skin, that’s me πŸ™‹πŸ½ would definitely recommend these to anybody, completely leave your skin feeling fresh.Β

What’s your favourite beauty product?!

Silky smooth locks; I’m not quite rapunzel though πŸ’‡πŸ½πŸ’†πŸ½

I get so many compliments on my hair πŸ’†πŸ½πŸ’‡πŸ½ but it wasn’t always like this. I started dying & bleaching my hair at a young age & it left it dry & damaged. It wouldn’t even grow properly. From 2008 to 2014 it was stuck at a certain length. My shoulders. It honestly was so bad that any heat on it made it frazzle & snap off. I wasn’t very into looking after my hair. The thought of buying something to look after it never even crossed my mind. So it was completely my fault.

In 2014 I decided to get permanent extensions. After searching about I decided to go with microloop extensions. I absolutely loved them. Kept them in for 2 years, to be honest I can’t actually remember why I took them out πŸ™ˆ

I had rapunzel hair super fast! But I knew this was just a quick fix, I didn’t really have lovely long hair.

So this is how I look after my hair now…

1. Washing

I personally wash my hair every other day. I wouldn’t wash it everyday if you don’t have to as it strips all the natural oils from your hair which will leave it looking dull & dry πŸ™ˆ so to start with I wash it with shampoo, rinse & then either use an elasticiser (I leave this on for 5/10 minutes) OR shampoo for the second time. If you do choose to shampoo twice always use a different brand shampoo. Follow this up with a nice conditioner to leave your hair soft & manageable. Little tip πŸ’« swap your shampoo/conditioner every few uses because if you use the same brand over & over it will just build up in your hair πŸ’†πŸ½ my favourites are: tresemme, pantene, l’oreal, kΓ©rastase, Aussie.

2. Pre drying

Now this is the good part. Before you dry your hair or put any heat on it, always protect it first. I like to use a leave in conditioner or heat protection spray all over. A few spritz, 4/5 should do the trick πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ I then use an oil or elixir on the ends of my hair to leave them super silky. Do not put too much on if not you’ll end up with greasy hair as it won’t sink in. This was the part I never used to do & now I can see why you always should! So below are a few of my favourites πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½ (Schwarzkopf is my ultimate favourite)

3. Heat heat heat

This means any heat; drying, straightening, curling. If you don’t use step 2, then please don’t do step 3. I try to let my hair dry naturally depending on when I have washed it, but I don’t like using too much heat. πŸ”₯ this may sound nuts to you but I like to straighten my hair before I go to bed. If I leave it or I sleep with it wet then I’ll wake up in the morning looking like a scarecrow, & nobody wants to see that πŸ˜‚

If there are any days where you know you’re not going anywhere or doing anything then definitely don’t bother doing anything to your hair, leave it. It won’t matter! OR sit with a hair mask on that day πŸ’†πŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

I definitely LOVE my hair now. Any questions feel free to comment lovelies ☺️

Holiday essentials… I definitely need them πŸ’πŸ½πŸ˜œ

We all know that when we book a holiday the cost doesn’t just end there. Then comes the cost of; extra luggage, sun cream etc. I’m going to share with you what I class as an essential… πŸ™„ I’d love to know what yours are too πŸ™Š

1. Toiletries

So when I say toiletries I don’t just mean the usual, shower gel or shampoo! I’m talking about things that you may possibly use daily & think ‘oh I won’t need that on holiday’ trust me, you’re wrong.

Firstly, nobody wants to have dry hair & you’re going to have to look after it even more with the change in weather. Depending on what you like to treat your hair with I would suggest you use an oil or elixir after every wash. You will also want a heat treatment spray if you’re off to somewhere hot hot hot β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄  because my hair is super important to me I will also give it a treatment mask at least once while I’m away.  Below are just a few of the hair products I loooove

2. Swimwear

If I was to say I’m addicted to buying new bikinis I feel like it might be an understatementπŸ™„πŸ‘™ I’m sure I’m not the only one. This may sound silly to some people but to me I like to take a fair few so I can have a choice. We all have days where we may feel a bit frumpy or not in the mood to wear a teeny tiny bikini so having a variety is good! Plus I like to save the white ones until my tan is a bit darker… πŸ’πŸ½πŸ˜œ

I’m going for 12 days this time so I think I’m going to take 7 swimsuits/bikinis with me. I always find I have 1 which is like my go to bikini. Don’t forget to take a cute coverup to go with these πŸ™Š did I say A… I actually meant many/multiple/lots, you know?!

3. White underwear

When I go on holiday I tend to take a lot of white outfits or outfits that might be a little more see through than what I would wear at home. I mean some outfits you can get away with it but others it’s a complete no no. I find that I need a lot more white underwear than any other colour! So this time I have really prepared myself & I went shopping to find myself some new knickers πŸ’πŸ½ Dorothy Perkins had a bargain just recently; 3 pairs for Β£10. Sorted! Or alternatively if you can find some nice white ones in topshop they always have 3 for Β£10 too πŸ‘›

4. A good book

I absolutely love lounging by the pool or laying on the beach reading a really gripping book. It really helps me to chill out & drift into my own little world. This year I have bought a book that has been published recently by a girl that went to my school so I think I will really get into this. I also love to take magazines as well πŸ“š cannot beat a bit of light reading too! I can’t wait to annoy my other half by keep having to share what’s happening with what I’m reading.. πŸ™Š sorry Sam, love you. Airports are the best place to grab your magazines as you’re completely in holiday mode by then πŸ˜‚ I end up buying some very odd things that I wouldn’t normally read πŸ™„

5. Lots of music

Another one of my favourite things while I’m on holiday is to constantly have music playing. Whether it’s when I’m at the pool with headphones in, whilst I’m showering or whilst I’m getting ready; dancing around the hotel room half dressed singing along while  the better half is showering (I feel sorry for him reading this post back) πŸ˜‚ personally I use Spotify on my phone, I get premium for when I’m away so I can have my phone on airplane mode βœˆοΈπŸ’πŸ½ but I also take my old iPod with me too with all the old songs on, just to remind me of how not cool I was when I was a teenager!

Let me know what your holiday essentials are 🌴

TinyTea, teatox β˜•οΈΒ

I thought I would write an honest review on my 28 day tiny tea teatox β˜•οΈ  I’m pretty sure most people would tell you ‘it tastes nice’ & I wouldn’t quite use that wording. It’s drinkable for sure 😜

The packaging is absolutely beautiful! πŸ’– as soon as you open the box the tea aroma comes out in full force! Was a little bit sceptical to start with.. Made my first cup on a Tuesday morning, left it in the hot water for 5 minutes & drank it as I got myself ready for work. I always have overnight oats for breakfast so I took these to work with me… You’re supposed to drink the tea 30 minutes before each meal (aids digestion) so this works perfectly for me in the mornings as its a 20/25 minute drive to work. My first cup I have to say wasn’t too enjoyable. Yes I did almost quit before I had even began πŸ™„πŸ™ˆ  but perseverance & thinking about the goal you’re aiming towards helps you carry on with those last few mouthfuls.

I then actually really got into drinking this tea before every meal. On my days off it was the easiest as I could easily plan when I was going to eat each meal so I could time it perfectly! If I was absolutely starving I would just put a little cold water in it so that I could drink it faster. Don’t think this would make any difference as it had already brewed in the boiling water πŸ˜€

If I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry I would have the tea before I had a smoothie βœ¨πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I found that this worked quite well at a lunch time if I was at home as I could keep busy so I wasn’t always thinking of food.. I’m always thinking of food πŸ˜©πŸ™ˆ  so below is what I was having for breakfast and lunch if I was at work. Tiny tea, apple juice, overnight oats, fruit, yoghurt and salad. It did honestly help me with not bloating, which I have always suffered with. I have also cut out bread which I think also helped πŸ’πŸ½ apart from the odd bit now & again.

Just to clear up with everyone this is not a ‘diet’ – in no way are you going to wake up & have dropped a stone from drinking this. It a good way to detox πŸ’πŸ½ sorry to be crude but, you’re also not going to spend your day on the loo (phew). A detox is a good way to start a fresh with your eating/drinking habits, a good way to start a change of lifestyle.

I would 100% recommend this teatox & I am going to carry on drinking the tea’s from YourTea. They have a huge variety of different tea’s; her tea, hangover tea, sleep tea etc etc. Give it a go πŸ˜‹β˜•οΈ

Lookfantastic… Certainly feel it

The May box from Lookfantastic was an absolute beauty this month! I have now been subscribed to this beauty box for well over a year & I can honestly say this is one of the best boxes for value for money! πŸ‘ŒπŸ» at just Β£11.25 a month (this includes postage) cannot complain at all.

This month I received 7 products, some sample size & a few full sized. Plus a copy of the latest Elle magazine & a fabulous beauty guide! This is definitely worth reading, loads of fabulous tips in there πŸ’πŸ½  I have saved this months copy of Elle magazine as I am going to need some reading material on my holiday πŸ™ˆ

The packaging this month was b-e-a-UTIFUL too! This months theme was ‘get the glow’ which has suited me well as I am a holiday addict! Lots of fantastic products that I can use to prepare myself for my holiday next month, or take with me when I go β˜€οΈπŸ‘™ got to get your skin ready for the sizzling sun right?!

I am already loving the scrub love coconut oil body scrub. Absolutely amazing to really deeply exfoliate the skin ready for tanning whether this being fake tan or natural tanning. I received coconut cranberry & I can tell you that is the yummiest smelling product everrrrr! It comes in a packaging which allows you to seal it to keep it for another use ✨

I think my next favourite product would have to be the system professional hair elixir. I live for having soft & silky locks. Plus a great shine πŸ’‡πŸ½πŸ’†πŸ½ this product is the perfect consistency & it isn’t too slimey or gloopy. It is very thin & you only need to use a small amount so even a bottle this size should last quite a while πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I only use it on the ends of my hair. Try not to get it too high up if not it will leave your hair feeling greasy πŸ™ˆ

I used my NuFACE cloth whilst I was in the bath so I knew my skin was prepared for a fabulous treat! Skincare means a lot to me πŸ™Š I loved this product, it was super soft & perfectly gentle for my skin as I do have quite sensitive skin when I try out new products πŸ’πŸ½ I would 100% recommend this to anybody ✨ because who doesn’t want beautiful soft skin?! I teamed this face cloth with my real chemistry 3 minute peel. It was so easy to use, literally just apply in circular motions onto your face & you will instantly feel the peel starting to activate. I really enjoyed using this product, only downside was I wish I had more 😜

The pretty pink mellow baked eyeshadow is perfect for a more natural makeup look as it fairly light & not a heavy product. I like to apply this to the inner corners of my eyes to make them really pop out 😍 this is definitely going in my makeup bag when I jet off on that plane ✈️

I’m sorry this review is shorter this month but I am saving my James read tan & glov for my holiday β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄ because I will definitely want glowing skin when I am in Rhodes πŸ‘™

Thanks for reading again lovelies ✨
